Music Technology

This course enables students to explore musical composition, remixing, and editing through basic technology. Students will become familiar with notation software and Digital Audio Workspaces, as well as MIDI and audio recording. Compositions will include sourced, found, and original musical ideas, and may include instrumental or vocal performance based on prior knowledge. Learning will be supported by hands-on creation and manipulation of musical examples, as well as analysis of existing compositions and popular music.
