National Art Honor Society Club Information
North Haven Chapter-National Art Honor Society-Advisor- D Blythe
Students who excel in the Fine Arts and have taken 2 or more art classes and maintained an "A" average may apply for membership in the North Haven chapter of the National Art Honor Society. Members participate in a variety of activities and fund-raisers which allow them to use time and talents to benefit the school and local community. Projects include creating "Healing Shawls for breast cancer patients, organizing and assisting with Art Beat and other exhibitions, working to offer monetary support/help to children of Haitii through "Mary Cares", conducting art workshops, and more. Students must complete 5 or more hours of community service each year and be current members of a NHHS art class in order to be active Art Honor Society members. They must also maintain a B+ or better average in all art classes and have a cumulative average of B or better. Students who attend ECA art classes may submit a portfolio of artwork for review when applying for membership.
