Welcome to Italian/Spanish class, 

 

During our time in class, we will aim to incorporate the 5 Cs of language learning.  We will make connections, explore cultures, study communities, make comparisons, and communicate in the target language.  Through cultural awareness, I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves while embracing the differences of others.  

 

In class we will Communicate, Collaborate, and Create on a daily basis.  Collaboration and student-centered activities are at the heart of our learning community.  Student engagement in the target language is crucial to language acquisition, so we encourage speaking every day, both in and outside of the classroom (when possible).  

 

I am excited to be a part of the North Haven school community which values education and student achievement, and most importantly strong community connections.

Italian club is a club open to all who have a passion for learning about the Italian culture and language.  The members meet in room 223 or 225 on dates to be determined.
