Dana Bennett - Literacy SRBI Interventionist

I have been a teacher for more than 15 years and have had the pleasure of teaching in North Haven for the past 3 years. Currently, I am the Literacy SRBI Interventionist. I work closely with the teachers in the English Department and believe our collaboration supports student growth. 

 

SRBI or Scientific Research Based Instruction, nationally known as RTI (Response to Intervention), begins after a student is referred to the SRBI Committee for review and it is determined that a skill deficit may be present. Tier II and III of SRBI provides support for student growth in their areas of deficit. 

 

As an interventionist, I provide direct instruction regarding specific literacy skills, regularly monitor student progress, and assess student growth towards goals.
